More major names sign up as Air-Tech exhibitors and primary sponsors
Established industry brands Mattei Compressors, CompAir, Hertz Kompressoren and Kawasaki have all signed up as primary sponsors to Air-Tech 2012 (NEC Birmingham, 17-19 April). More major industry brands have also recently signed up as exhibitors at the show; including Mann & Hummel, Gardner Denver, Hertz Kompressoren and Raal.
Mann+Hummel will be exhibiting compressor and vacuum pump filters including the new two-stage air cleaner Entaron, which is flexible and designed for heavy duty applications. Entaron’s advantages include a corrosion-free and robust housing using fibre-glass reinforced plastic, tool free element replacement and eco-friendly disposable metal-free filter element (fully incinerable). Mann+Hummel is a developer and manufacturer of compressor and vacuum pump filters and can offer customers the security they need.
At Air-Tech 2012, compressor manufacturer Gardner Denver will be showcasing technologies from its compressor brands over four separate stands, including the launch of its new 22 to 30 kW range of CompAir variable speed compressors – the first time the new models will be exhibited in the UK.
CompAir products will be exhibited on two stands. The first will be dedicated to lubricated-screw technologies and will include the company’s new variable-speed range. The second stand will focus entirely on the company’s oil-free product offering and include the water-lubricated DH range of compressors and the company’s Quantima unit.
Gardner Denver will also be exhibiting models from its Hydrovane range. Benefitting from rotary vane compression technology, products in this range provide a dependable, dry compressed air supply with minimal energy costs. In addition, the Reavell stand will focus on some of the latest solutions for manufacturers and processors requiring a quality and dependable source of high-pressure air.
Another recent signatory to Air-Tech 2012 is Hertz Kompressoren UK. Hertz offers a wide range of quality screw compressors and related parts manufactured to the latest ISO and TUV standards. Models in the Hertz HGS Series rotary screw compressors, for example, are highly energy efficient and built for a broad range of applications. All spare parts are available at service centres across a worldwide network of branches. Among other products on the Hertz stand this year will be its range of HSC Frecon 18-275 variable speed screw compressors. Through the implementation of a frequency inverter, Frecon compressors adjust the motor speed in accordance with the air demand of the factory. The company comments that energy consumption keeps decreasing almost linearly in proportion with the capacity. According to Hertz, up to a 35 per cent saving in energy consumption is possible. Additionally, the use of the Frecon compressors’ 'Soft Start System' extends the motor service life, and avoids the negative effects of the high start current on the energy system. Raal, based in Romania, has also recently signed up for the show. Raal benefits from 25 years of experience in manufacturing complete cooling systems. Raal has subsidiaries in Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, The USA.
Seminar programme
A wide-ranging seminar programme, with speakers representing some of industry’s most pre-eminent organisations, will also be featured at Air-Tech and its co-located DFA Media events IFPEX, Drives and Controls and Plant and Asset Management Exhibition. The free industry-focused seminar programme will run across the three days of the shows.
