Membership of BFPA gives you and your organisation access to a wide range of valuable services and a host of useful information. We are committed to education and our training is second to none. By joining BFPA, you are increasing the profile of this vital UK industry while helping to raise standards and secure its future.


Membership categories

Our members come from all levels of the industry, so there is a category of membership to suit everyone.

BFPA member

Open to all hydraulic, pneumatic and motion control manufacturers and suppliers, BFPA members gain unlimited access to our full range of products and services. BFPA members generally sell only their own branded products which may be manufactured in the UK or abroad. Subscriptions are based on annual sales directly associated with fluid power equipment in and from the UK.

BFPDA member

Membership of the British Fluid Power Distributors Association

(BFPDA) is open to independent distributors of fluid power equipment. Companies joining as BFPDA members often have fluid power sales as the greatest part of their total turnover, and a distribution or stockist agreement in place with at least one fluid power components and systems manufacturer. BFPDA members usually sell a range of different brands of fluid power products.

Associate member

Associate members are usually companies which have a link to the industry, but do not have their main business in fluid power. For example, they may be providers of components or services, end users or original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) who manufacture or utilise machines which use hydraulic or pneumatic technology. Education, training and research member This membership is for colleges, universities, training companies and research establishments whose primary function is technical training, learning, research and testing at all levels, with a fluid power capability.

Consultant member

Consultant membership is available to consultants who have expertise in hydraulics and/or pneumatics and are offering consultancy services relating to fluid power technology. Consultant members adhere to BFPA’s code of practice for consultants, which promotes best practice.

BFPA

The British Fluid Power Association (BFPA) is the only UK trade association for the hydraulic and pneumatic industries. We have over 250 members, ranging from the largest multinational to the smallest distributor and encompassing manufacturers, importers and resellers of hydraulic, pneumatic and motion control equipment as well as academics, trainers, OEMs and end-users.
