NFPC 2016 Industry Open Day attracts record number of exhibitors and attendees

22 April, 2016

The National Fluid Power Centre (NFPC UK) held its annual ‘Flagship’ Industry Open Day event recently. A 9m x 60m marquee ‘housed’ all 50 exhibitors from national and international companies and trade associations with a further small group of exhibitors in the main NFPC Reception foyer area.

Exhibitors displayed a wide range of products; including seals, valves, condition monitoring, filtration & coolant products, air blast coolers and hydraulic measurement & control equipment. This year the NFPC welcomed companies from its newly developed links in the electronics & control industry who brought along robotic displays and examples of integrated systems.

Guided tours

The day included guided tours of the NFPC’s well-regarded practical facilities and also four technical lectures presented by industry experts. The dedicated exhibition pavilion also allowed ideal networking opportunities for all visitors.

This year’s event attracted attendees from all over the UK and Ireland, as well as an exhibitor from as far afield as Niagara Falls in Canada. The event attracted over 340 visitors to the centre and within the 50 exhibitors this year the NFPC welcomed 17 new organisations.

The NFPC UK is consistently supported by its Advisory & Strategic Planning Group consisting of over 50 major national and international companies, and the Open Day was no exception. Members supported the centre both as exhibitors and attendees on the day.

Raising the bar

NFPC director, John Savage, commented: The Open Day event this year has once more ‘raised the bar’ and proved to be a huge success. We are already receiving numerous positive feedback comments and requests to join us again next year.”

The next Industry Open Day will be held on Wednesday 15 February 2017. If you would like further information about next year’s event with a view to exhibiting or simply attending on the day contact marketing@nfpc.co.uk.
