Bos-Shelf LLC Azerbaijan manages on-site operations with Kamag K24 SPMT
The German manufacturer Kamag, part of the TII Group – manufacturer of vehicles with hydraulically suspended pendulum axles – has delivered K24 Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMT) to BOS-Shelf in Baku, Azerbaijan. The electronically steered vehicles are used to move heavy steel pipes with lengths up to 24 meters and diameters up to five meters, modular equipment of deep sea jackets with total weights up to 800 tons or parts of heavy cranes as well as for various other smaller loads.
Axle lines, power packs, remote controls, bolsters and software
BOS-Shelf LLC ordered a total of 24 axle lines together with suitable power packs, remote controls and bolsters with 300 tons payload as well as a SALSA software package allowing them to perform all necessary calculations and simulations for his transport tasks.
Connection elements
A set of connection elements allows operating the modules in open compounds or mechanically coupled in order to be fitted to any load or transportation task. In order to guarantee an especially high level of skills amongst the operators, BOS-Shelf LLC decided for a prolonged training for its staff by experienced Kamag engineers.
