The Fluid Power & Systems and Air-Tech 2016 – signatory update

09 December, 2015

Fluid Power & Systems – the exhibition taking place at the NEC, Birmingham from 12 to14 April 2016 – continues to sign-up industry-renowned companies. One of the show’s most recent signatories is SMC Pneumatics.

Bob Hitner, marketing manager at SMC Pneumatics (UK) Ltd., commented: “We exhibited at Fluid Power & Systems in 2014 and enjoyed a really good show, attracting a high number of good lead. We prefer exhibitions that are staged every couple of years, and so Fluid Power & Systems fits the bill perfectly for us. Through our rigorous R&D programme, SMC launches around 30 to 40 new products every year – many completely new – and so the two-year gap between our attendance at the exhibition means we will be able to display a wide range of new offerings, as well as some of our established ranges.

“We are planning to have three or four main display areas on the stand, and as an example of the types of products on show there will be a selection of pneumatic and electric actuators, 4-axis electric drives, pneumatic cylinders and safety products such as our solenoid-actuated dump valves with soft-start feature. We look forward to meeting both existing and new customers at the show next April.”

Also signed-up for next year’s show are major industry names including Parker, Beaumanor, Allswage, Tom Parker, MP Filtri, Staubli, Moog, Metal Work, Uniflex, Argo Hytos, Flowfit, Hydrapower Dynamics, PVL and Gemu Valves.

Fluid Power & Systems is the only event in the UK that is 100 per cent focused on a comprehensive range of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, together with products that facilitate better electro-mechanic system design and application for improved process automation, control and monitoring.

Fully supported by the British Fluid Power Association (BFPA) and Hydraulics and Pneumatics magazine, Fluid Power & Systems comprises the largest gathering of world-class companies displaying and demonstrating the latest in mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment.

Fluid Power & Systems also includes a full programme of free technical seminars supported with top-class speakers offering expert insight and practical advice on the issues that affect you the most.

Air-Tech 2016

If you are involved in compressed air or generators then you should visit Air-Tech 2016, to be staged at the NEC Birmingham from 12 to14 April 2016. The show, which is free to enter, covers the very latest in compressed air, vacuum and generators from the UK's largest gathering of world-class companies.

Fully supported by Hydraulics & Pneumatics and Plant & Works Engineering magazines,

Air-Tech features world-class suppliers from around the world. Already signed-up for next year’s show include such established industry names as Gardner Denver, Mattei, Hertz Kompressoren/Dalgakiran, Huba and Teseo. As with Fluid Power & Systems, Air-Tech will also include a full programme of free technical seminars with leading industry speakers.

Co-located exhibitions

Fluid Power & Systems and Air-Tech will again be co-located with Drives and Controls, European Offshore & Energy, Plant & Asset Management, Mach and National Electronics Week. These combined exhibitions bring over 40,000 visitors to the NEC over a single week.

DFA Media commercial director, Ryan Fuller, commented: “We received very positive responses from many of the exhibitors concerning the high number of enquiries received on their stands during the 2014 event; many companies also expressed their delight with the general look and layout of the exhibitions. Additionally, we were delighted by the fact that the 2014 shows exceeded all DFA Media co-located events staged at that point. Moving forward, 2016 has already surpassed last year’s impressive milestone, and so promises to be the best show yet.”
