Beko Technologies measures compressed air to ISO 8573-1 class 1 of the ISO standards

22 September, 2016

Visible purity

Beko Technologies comments that Metpoint OCV makes the purity of compressed air visible. The Metpoint OCV is installed in an increasing number of Food and Beverage companies because commonly used technologies are only able to measure to Class 2 for oil and therefore provide part of the compressed air solution. Metpoint OCV will go down to 0.003mg/m³.

There is a requirement for logging data and setting frequency of measurement, and again here Beko Technologies points out that the process or equipment used should define actions or the guideline of 2 measurements per year followed.

The company adds that today it is very easy to constantly monitor all the key parameters in a compressed air system and Beko Technologies has a device Metpoint BDL which will monitor 12 analogue or digital inputs which could cover the guidelines. Data is available in many formats from connection to BMS to SMS to selected phones plus many other options.
