About the BFPA’s Learning and Development Programme

The BFPA is passionate about raising standards in safe working practices within the fluid power market and industry as a whole. As part of our Learning and Development Programme we have created a range of successful short flexible hose courses that compliment an expanding set of systems-based qualifications and vocational courses designed to be valid in whatever industry you are associated with, be it construction, marine, agriculture, offshore, renewable energy, rail, mining and many more.

Short Flexible Hose Training Courses – Onsite or Online

The short flexible hose training courses can be accessed direct from the BFPA or through one of our approved training providers. The BFPA has tailored these courses to be delivered onsite at an organisation’s facility, at one of our monthly Open Course training venues or as a theoretical, interactive trainer lead option delivered online. This flexibility allows us to cater for the needs of large groups or individuals within a company encouraging opportunities to attend these courses in a way that is convenient and cost effective to all concerned.

The BFPA is always happy to discuss tailoring our existing courses to suit a particular company’s needs to ensure that the training we deliver matches the requirements of their workforce. This type of training can again be delivered face to face or online to work around shift patterns, or employees in overseas facilities or offshore.

Fluid Power Systems Qualifications

The BFPA’ s aim is to achieve a uniform level of knowledge and skills for all those working in industries involved with fluid power through the qualifications arm of our Learning and Development Programme.

BFPA qualifications begin with a level 1 in Hydraulics and Electro Pneumatics leading into our level 2 and 3 qualifications for those seeking further achievements.

Following advice from member companies we have divided each level of achievement to offer standalone vocational training courses which can lead on to competence based qualifications involving one to one assessments and a written exam.
