Get ready for the return of our industry's main event next April
Fluid Power & Systems and Air-Tech are set to take place again at the NEC, Birmingham from 10 to 12 April next year. These shows are co-located with Drives and Controls and Plant & Asset Management, together with a brand-new show for 2018 - Smart Industry Expo. These exhibitions will also be staged alongside MACH, bringing over 40,000 visitors to the NEC over a single week.
New extended BFPA & BFPDA pavilion
As the result of a joint initiative between the British Fluid Power Association (BFPA) and exhibition organiser DFA Media, the BFPA will introduce a new extended pavilion to include a dedicated Distributor feature at Fluid Power & Systems 2018. As an added bonus, the BFPA has agreed a special discount for members wishing to take a place on the pavilion. As always, BFPA staff will be on-hand throughout the show and will ensure that members on the new pavilion realise real value from their facility. Any members wishing to take advantage of this first-come-first-served opportunity should contact Janet Dixon on 01608 647900, or email janet@bfpa.co.uk.
Fluid Power & Systems 2018 - exhibitor taster
Just some of the exhibitors that have already signed up for Fluid Power & Systems 2018 include:
Ashton Seals
Ashton Seals works with a wide variety of customers and industry sectors, and continues to show strength and growth within the current market climate through its ability to provide bespoke technical solutions. The company's core products - including seals, gaskets, fasteners and pipe fittings - will all be on display. In addition, Ashton Seals' distribution agreements with both Parker and SKF will be showcased, and experts from the company's various sealing departments will be on hand to talk through the advantages of using Ashton Seals' products and services.
Camozzi
At Fluid Power & Systems 2018, Camozzi will focus on the launch of C_Electrics; a division of Camozzi dedicated to the development of electric actuation solutions, including electromechanical cylinders and axes with auxiliary motors and accessory components. By acknowledging that every application has its own unique requirements, Camozzi is able to recommend the most suitable technological solution - be it pneumatic, proportional or electric. The company comments that this ability to offer all technologies, combining them where necessary, epitomises the competitive advantage it is able to offer customers.
Schwer Fittings
At Fluid Power & Systems in 2018, Schwer Fittings will show its expanded hose catalogue, with dimensions, technical information and a crimp guide. Looking to the future, Schwer has just opened a new production facility in Czech Republic. Alongside existing products, this facility will focus on u2-Lok production, Schwer's rapidly expanding twin ferrule range. With most products available from stock in Warrington, Schwer can supply a next-day service throughout the UK. Threads available include BSPP, BSPT, NPT, Metric and JIC; hose tails include standard and interlock; DNV certified compression fittings in single and twin ferrule; LP and HP valves.
Air-Tech 2018 - exhibitor taster
Just some of the exhibitors that have already signed up for Air-Tech 2018 include:
Factair
At Air-Tech, Factair will be displaying its range of breathing/compressed-air systems and instruments, including its new F8000 range of test instruments. These instruments, available in portable or continuous monitoring versions, are suitable for testing to breathing, medical and surgical air standards. For compressed-air service engineers, Factair also offers a range of point-of-use test instruments; including the F4500, which utilises Draeger chemical reagent tubes, and the F6000 range, which features electronic sensors, and an oil test port for the Draeger Impactor. To filter compressed-air to breathing-air, the company will be exhibiting the Safe-Air cabinets and trollies; including options for CO and CO2 suppression.
Supervane
Supervane is a provider of tough, reliable and efficient carbon vanes replacements used in vacuum pumps manufactured by Becker, Elmo Rietschle , Busch and Orion. The company does this with the high quality expected of the OEM products, together with the benefit of low prices. Supervane comments that there are a number of non-genuine carbon vane suppliers today that offer low-performance, low-quality carbon vanes. Supervane remarks that its performance tests show that these 'budget vanes' can not only cause pumps to run at above normal temperatures, but can also cost users more in the long run. In comparison, adds the company, Supervanes performed at or near the levels of the OEM vanes in terms of wear, and at normal operating temperatures. With these performance results, and using the OEM 'MSRP', the calculated savings are approximately 33% (Becker) and 27% (Elmo Rietchle).
