Fluid Power & Systems and Air-Tech 2018 Update

22 August, 2017

MP Filtri

MP Filtri, provider of hydraulic filtration equipment, is dedicated to offering its customers innovative design solutions, product quality and a tailored service. By exhibiting at Fluid Power & Systems, the company comments that it is able to show the market its latest products and services and provide existing and potential customers with a glimpse into the future. Chris Durkin, MP Filtri’s sales director, commented that it is not always possible for everyone to be able to attend foreign-based events – for example, Hannover Messe. “For that reason, we feel that Fluid Power & Systems provides the perfect solution,” he said. “It gives UK-based engineers and purchasing managers etc. a chance to discover new products on the market and meet with suppliers.”

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions

As a developer and manufacturer of precision seals for fluid power applications, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions strives to have a presence at all major fluid power trade events. The company sees Fluid Power & Systems as the UK’s leading trade event for this segment, knowing that global OEMs – many of them Trelleborg Sealing Solutions’ own end users – will be present at the show. The company points out that sealing elements have a decisive influence on the design, function and service life of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders and systems. With this in mind, it will showcase a complete range of seals which, due to its optimised geometries and designs and the use of high quality materials such as Zurcon polyurethane (PU), satisfy the technical and economic demands of today’s fluid power industry.

Air-Tech 2018 - exhibitor taster

Just some of the exhibitors that have already signed up for Air-Tech 2018 include the following:

BCAS

Vanda Jones, the British Compressed Air Society’s executive director, commented: “As the UK’s only dedicated exhibition for the compressed air, generators and vacuum market, Air-Tech is an ideal chance for visitors to keep up to date with all the latest developments in our industry. For BCAS, it is an ideal opportunity to engage with manufacturers, distributors and end users alike, and for us to provide impartial advice about legislation, standards and technical issues Events like Air-Tech are more vital than ever over the next two years because it brings our industry together to understand issues that affect us all; such as Brexit.”

Gardner Denver

Gardner Denver will demonstrate its extensive range of compressed air solutions for every kind of application at Air-Tech 2018; from low- and high-pressure technologies, to its oil-free compressors and vacuum offering. Available as part of its CompAir PureAir brand, the company’s new oil-free Ultima compressor is claimed to offer up to 12% improved energy efficiency compared with a conventional two-stage machine – with a roughly 37% smaller footprint. Gardner Denver’s stand will also have a dedicated nitrogen generation area, highlighting how businesses keen to reduce supply chain costs may consider investing in an on-site unit. Using existing compressors to convert air into guaranteed purity nitrogen, on-site nitrogen generation can save operators up to 90% of the cost of bought-in gas.

Hertz Kompressoren

Among its wide portfolio of rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors, and compressed air dryers and filters, Hertz Kompressoren will be promoting its state-of-the art hot water heat recovery unit at AirTech 2018. A heat exchanger is installed in the hot oil line in the compressor, and heating water is then heated by this hot compressor oil. Hertz Kompressoren comments that the system is not complicated and the cost of initial investment is not expensive. The company adds that saving heat energy can realise that cost within one year of operation. There will be further product announcements nearer the time of the show.
