PCL launches new Torque Limited Impact Socket Set

According to PCL, a little bit of outlay for its new 1/2” Torque Limited Impact Socket Set will go a long way in terms of cost savings and increased productivity.


The clutch design, featuring a teethed spring load mechanism, is said to prevent wheel nuts and fasteners being tightened beyond a torque of 100Nm – eradicating the potential for spraining or damaging of wheel nuts during a tyre change. In addition, a protective plastic sleeve prevents scratches and damage to expensive alloy wheels.

Increased productivity

PCL comments that any expert tyre fitter will know the risks involved in over-tightening wheel nuts and how easily it can be done when working quickly, causing costly and inconvenient accidents. The company’s new 1/2” Torque Limited Impact Socket Set is claimed to enable the operator to quickly tighten wheel nuts up to100Nm then finish safely to the recommended spec using a torque wrench, thus increasing productivity.

Suitable for all standard passenger car wheel nut sizes with 17, 19 and 21 mm sockets included, PCL’s socket sets are suitable for use with alloy wheels and feature coloured bodies for quick and easy size identification.
