DFA Media gears-up for biggest co-located stable of events yet

24 March, 2014

Exhibition & conference organiser, DFA Media Ltd., will again be staging its well-established and highly complementary stable of leading co-located exhibitions at Birmingham's NEC from 8 to 10 April 2014. The free-to-attend co-located DFA Media shows are currently up on contracted exhibitors by 57 per cent compared with the 2012 shows, while contracted floor space is up 102 per cent. The 2012 exhibitions attracted the highest visitor numbers up to that point; totalling 11,146 for the three days. This represented an increase of 29 per cent from the 8624 attendance figure of the 2010 shows, highlighting a significant return of confidence to the UK manufacturing sector. Another advantage is that the DFA Media shows will again be co-located with the ever popular MACH Exhibition and National Electronics Week – jointly anticipated to bring over 40,000 visitors to the NEC in 1 week. Fluid Power & Systems, with the full support of the British Fluid Power Association (BFPA), is the only exhibition in the UK totally focused on hydraulics, pneumatics, systems and related equipment, and as such should be on the must-exhibit list for fluid power system manufacturers and distributors. Air-Tech, with full support from the British Compressed Air Society (BCAS), is the UK's only dedicated event for the compressed air and generators market. Air power is the second most widely used source of motive energy in the world, preceded only by electricity. Air-Tech fully caters for this need. Drives & Controls will again bring together key suppliers of state-of-the-art equipment representing the multi-tasking culture of today's design engineer, covering critical areas such as energy efficiency, machine safety, drives, motion control and automation plus much more, all under one roof. Plant and Asset Management will bring together key suppliers of state-of-the art equipment representing the multi-tasking culture of today's plant, works and maintenance engineers covering such vital areas such as CMMS, energy, boilers and burners, handling and storage, condition monitoring, training plus much more. The inaugural European Offshore & Energy exhibition for 2014 brings the offshore energy market together under one roof; providing visitors with the ideal opportunity to learn about the industry's latest product innovations, solutions and services. Seminar programme Complementing the exhibitions will be a full programme of free technical seminars, with speakers offering expert insight and practical advice on important and topical issues. UKTI, who will be exhibiting at European Offshore and Energy, will be at the co-located events to provide guidance and support for visitors and exhibitors alike from a trade and investment perspective. UKTI representatives will also speak at the conferences on the topic of overseas trade and investment opportunities. European Offshore & Energy will feature EnergyDialogue, a three-day conference covering a host of energy issues together with product/solution analysis. EnergyDialogue will ensure delegates receive all the information they need directly from leading authorities, policy makers and expert practitioners. Additionally, TechKnowledge will feature a packed programme covering everything from detailed analyses of proven existing technology to the latest industry innovations. Just some of the major trade organisations, OEMs and fluid power & systems manufacturers presenting papers at the event include: JCB, The British Compressed Air Society (BCAS), the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), SMC Pneumatics, Moog and Tata Steel. The Air-Tech and Fluid Power & Systems seminars are sponsored by Gardner Denver. MDS Conference Another major value-add at this year's event will be the staging of the Motor Driven Conference (MDS). MDS is focused on helping industry professionals to generate major savings from motor driven apparatus – such as pumps, fans and compressors – by applying a systems engineering approach to reduce energy, improve performance and ultimately save money. Don't miss out on being a part of the UK's largest co-located industry event.
