Cast iron advantage (March 2013)

24 March, 2013

The latest series of reciprocating air compressors from FPS Compressors uses solid cast iron block construction enhanced by a modern, energy efficient drive and control system. The Power System CI Series combines the use of robust traditional engineering materials and a simplified control system to produce a very energy efficient compressor that is simple to maintain and which has outstanding reliability.

Built to last, these high quality compressors represent a return to solid engineering values and robustness but at the same time they also offer modern operating efficiency. They feature full cast iron construction with heavy duty intake filtration, stainless steel valves and very low operating speeds - resulting in noise levels that are much lower than typical reciprocating compressors.

The CI series is available as receiver mounted or base mounted units in power sizes from 2.2 kW to 15 kW (single phase at 2.2kW or three-phase power) and working pressure up to 10 bar. Traditional characteristics of longevity and reliability make them suitable for use across a spectrum of operating environments, including heavier duty applications and severe site conditions in industrial, automotive, manufacturing and environmental applications. All CI Machines can be supplied with a three year warranty.
