The wait is over for our industry’s main event

16 February, 2022

Talking Industry Live

The wide range of topical panel discussions of the popular Talking Industry webinar events will move temporarily from the digital sphere to live panel discussions at the NEC under the Talking Industry Live brand for three days during the co-located shows. In addition, as part of the MTC’s significant presence at the co-location of events, The Manufacturing organisation will lead the discussion on the changing manufacturing landscape, including the challenges and opportunities that will help provide practical steps, which manufacturers can take on the journey to embrace digitalisation in the post COVID-19 era. Another highlight will be a presentation by Paul Cooke, interim CEO at the British Fluid Power Association (BFPA) on the topic of Fluid Power and the Factory of the Future. One might have a vision that in the factory of the future only the four walls, the roof and the floor are fixed – everything else is flexible and can be re programmed for a change of requirements with ease and with open controls. With this backdrop of Industry 4.0, fluid Power (pneumatics and hydraulics) will adapt and deliver with the pre-requisite also of safety, efficiency and environmental demands. This, and other related themes, will be surveyed in depth during the BFPA presentation.

Biggest event to date

DFA Manufacturing Media’s managing director, Ryan Fuller, comments: “Following the formidable challenges we have all had to face over the past two years, we are more than ever looking forward to staging what promises to be our biggest co-located event yet, with more exhibitors and more extensive floor space than ever before. We are also delighted to launch our brand-new Digitalisation and Engineering Forums at this year’s shows. The industry niches these exhibitions represent are rapidly evolving technologically, and this event will provide visitors with the ideal opportunity to learn more about these recent developments and how they could potentially prove to be of major value and benefit to their businesses. We very much look forward to welcoming both our exhibitors and visitors to the industry’s main event this April.”
