could achieve by taking a few simple, low-cost steps to help cut its energy consumption from compressed air? Experts will be on hand to explain the key factors when embarking on a compressed air energy reduction programme, including highlighting areas where waste occurs and how to minimise it.

 Cattani ESAM (UK) Ltd

Cattani (ESAM) in Italy designs and manufactures oil-less compressors and side channel blowers for the UK and other markets. ESAM industrial side channel blowers are manufactured in die-cast aluminium alloy, which is claimed to ensure a consistent high quality and productivity. Cattani oil-less compressors produce clean, dry, oil-less air and have a reputation for reliability and durability. Cattani compressor receivers are coated internally with BioCote Silver Ion Technology, which delivers effective protection against microbes such as bacteria and mould. Cattani uses the simplest drying system, incorporating a self-purging drying column, requiring minimum maintenance. Cattani also supplies compressors for use with milling machines. These compressors have upgraded parts, which allow them to run up to 10 bar – making it possible for the compressor to deal with the extra stresses when used with milling machines. All Cattani Compressors are supplied with a 5-year warranty, subject to terms and conditions.

Champion

Compressor brand Champion will be exhibiting its latest range of high-performance and affordable solutions at Air-Tech. Champion comments that it offers a best-in-class portfolio of compressors for small and medium-sized businesses, covering industries such as industrial, craftsmen and vehicle repair. Its range covers screw, piston, rotary vane, scroll and portable technology, delivering compressed air for an extensive range of applications such as pneumatic conveying, spray guns and other air-powered tools and equipment. Champion will have its latest rotary screw, rotary vane, oil-lubricated piston and refrigerated dryer systems on its stand. Plans for 2020 include launching a new FM series of 90-132 kW rotary screw compressors, which visitors to Air-Tech will be able to find out more about from the Champion team on the stand.

 FeTu Ltd

FeTu Ltd, an innovation-driven enterprise, is returning to Air-Tech in 2020 with its novel ‘Roticulating’ compression and vacuum pump technology. According to the company, this provides a step-change solution to energy efficiency and reduction. Evidenced in third-party tests, FeTu demonstrated high isentropic efficiency (+80%) and pressure capability from 100rpm oil free. The oil-flooded version shows a predicted 5.5kW specific power at 1500 rates per minute (rpm) (7 barg). A true positive displacement concept, the simplistic design enables a compact, lightweight, quiet and scalable unit suitable for a range of applications (oil-free or oil-flood) and markets. With added benefits of a 100% collapsing volume, zero turndown and only two moving parts enabling low maintenance. With pilot sites secured for 2020, FeTu is seeking high-demand end users with compressed air challenges and OEMs eager to secure a defined market advantage.

 Michell Instruments

Michell Instruments is a leading supplier of dew-point sensors and portable spot check instruments for moisture content in compressed air. The company comments that its new SF82 dew-point transmitter increases the efficiency of industrial compressed air dryers through ultra-fast responses to moisture. Helping companies meet the international ISO 8573-1 standard for compressed air quality, the SF82 is suitable for refrigeration, membrane, absorption and dew-point dependent switching dryers. Michell’s sensor service exchange and recalibration programmes offer a quick and efficient method of maintaining calibration to reduce process downtime. Michell is part of the Process Sensing Technologies group (PST), which provides a comprehensive suite of instruments, analysers and sensors for precision measurements in industrial process control.

 Mikropor

At Air-Tech, Mikropor will showcase its new range of highly energy efficient MCY cycling thermal mass and MBP
