SED on track for 12 to 14 May

04 April, 2009

SED is staging its 44th annual event at Rockingham Motor Speedway, Corby, Northamptonshire, from 12 to 14 May. Around 200 exhibitors have already confirmed attendance, with many launching brand new plant and machinery products, as well as offering live demonstrations …

New Holland Construction will be demonstrating a number of new B Series machines, and will be inviting plant operators to explore and drive the machinery to its full potential on its demonstration area in the SED showground. Ammann will be showing an extensive selection of machines from its mini excavators and compaction equipment, together with a number of Cormidi tracked dumpers. New this year will be a line of excavator attachments aimed at the demolition and recycling market.
Put through their paces
Hyundai Heavy Industries is back this year showing a range of mini and midi excavators and also a loading shovel. Hyundai also has a substantial demonstration plot, where the excavators will be put through their paces. Bobcat will have static and working demonstrations of the full range of compact equipment from micro, mini and zero-tail swing excavators to state-of-the art skid steers, compact tracked loaders and telehandlers, although Bobcat has not released details of exact models. UK Hire Jobs will be offering free vacancy postings to all employers who place vacancies at the show. Tiltrotators manufacturer, Engcon, now offers a fully automatic quick hitch with a certified safe working load (SWL). The Engcon fully automatic S60 quick hitch has been tested by Lloyds British Testing to a SWL of 10 tonnes and a proof load of 20 tonnes. The company offers a range of quick hitches to suit machines from 1 tonne through to 45 tonnes. Engcon will be showing and demonstrating the automatic quick hitch at this year’s show.
