Thorite opens in Bristol

Stephen Wright, managing director of Thorite, commented: “We looked long and hard at areas across the UK which not only have a significant number of existing Thorite customers but also areas containing companies in the maintenance and repair sectors who are not Thorite customers. The Bristol area showed the most potential.”

As well as being a supplier of compressed air, pneumatics and process products, Thorite is also an Official Distributor for over 200 major fluid power manufacturers. These include Norgren, SMC, Festo, Parker, Burkert Aro and Piab, the bulk of whose products are available on next-day delivery.

At the Bristol Sales Centre, Thorite has employed managers with extensive knowledge of both pneumatics and the local area. The Centre’s general manager, Stephen Boyle, has spent the past 8 years in a technical and sales support role in the South West and South Wales. Sales and Service Centre manager, David Lewis, started as a customer service representative rising to acting branch manager for an industrial bearing distributor. He also has strong local industry knowledge.
