Atlas Copco Bolt Tightening Solutions appoints new regional sales manager in Scotland

Atlas Copco Bolt Tightening Solutions has appointed Peter Matthews as regional sales manager for Scotland. He will be responsible for the complete Tentec product range of bolt tightening solutions including hydraulic tensioners and torque wrenches.


Matthews has had a wide and varied engineering career starting in the military and taking him through the railway and emergency service industries. For the past 10 years he has been involved in the oil and gas industry and, with a Master’s Degree in Advanced Engineering including Tribology, is a recognised technical expert in this field.

“We have seen our business substantially increase in Scotland over the past few years,” said Roy Sheldon, business manager, Energy at Atlas Copco. “So we felt it was important to have a local presence to support our new and existing customers. Pete is a highly knowledgeable engineer and can guide customers to the correct choice of equipment for their particular applications. He is already proving himself a valuable asset to the region.”

As well as being vital tools in the oil and gas industry, the Tentec range of bolt tightening products are also extensively used in the renewables industry, particularly for wind turbine installation and maintenance and other diverse markets such as the railway industry, large earthmoving and agricultural machinery.
