New generation of Mahle filter elements available soon

The Filtration Group, the company that has taken over the Industrial Filtration division of Mahle, reports that the series production of the next generation of Mahle Premium Select filter elements has now begun.


The conversion of the production will be implemented gradually depending on types, and the company intends the conversion of the complete product range to have been completed within the next six months.

Mahle Premium Select filter elements include up to three glass fibre layers, optimally coordinated to offer a dirt holding capacity that is claimed to be 30% greater than conventional filter elements. Also, increased filtration performance combined with a lower differential pressure is said to achieve a significantly reduced energy consumption.

In combination with Mahle’s optimised glass fibre technology, the new shrunken outer sheath is claimed to ensure a unique structure of the PS filter element, resulting in first-rate filtration. The patent-pending outer sheath fastens the pleated star closely to the inner core; this is said to guarantee uniformly high separating performance throughout the entire service life of the filter element. According to the Filtration Group, this facilitates an ideal compensation of the rise in differential pressure due to the technology and pulsations which may occur, triggered by changing volume flows.

The Filtration Group adds that, with these filter elements, fluctuations in separating performance (ß-values) are a thing of the past.
