Hydraquip Hose & Hydraulics opens Widnes branch

15 January, 2016

Hydraulics and manufacturing specialist Hydraquip Hose & Hydraulics recently opened a new branch in Widnes. Located on Foundry Lane, just off Ditton Road, the branch offers easy access to customers in Liverpool, Runcorn, Warrington, Ellesmere Port, North Cheshire, Deeside, Wirral and of course Widnes.

Hydraquip Widnes is the fifth trade counter branch to open this year. The branch offers large stocks on a variety of hydraulic and industrial hose, with components such as fittings and adaptors to suit. Along with an extensive range of over 48,000+ fluid power products available immediately or within 24 hours consisting of pneumatic components, hose and fittings, quick release couplings, hose reels, tube, valves, pumps and a comprehensive range of hydraulic and engine oils.

Strong portfolio

The company has built up a strong portfolio as official distributors of well-known premium brands such as Aeroquip, Bosch Rexroth and Enerpac. In addition to this, the in house facilities allow the Hydraquip Widnes branch to provide an over the counter service, manufacturing hose assemblies while you wait.

The new branch is managed by Paul Bayley Jones. He has joined the group from Hydroscand Widnes, which was formerly known as Blackwell Hydraulics, where he was the branch manager for 12 years. Adam Holland, also from Hydroscand Widnes, has joined as trade counter & sales support and Nathan Richardson, who until recently was the branch manager for Hydroscand Wrexham, has joined as a sales rep for Hydraquip Widnes.

The new Hydraquip branch offers hydraulic repairs in Widnes and the surrounding areas in the North west. The combination of the skill set, experience and ambition the staff carry, is a recipe for success. Fintan Ennis, regional director, commented: “The team at Hydraquip Widnes have the technical knowledge and experience to deliver a service which is second to none within the Merseyside area. The addition of this new hydraulics branch will benefit existing and new customers with a significant improvement to onsite repair response times in the North West, as well as the convenience of having a branch nearby.”

Founded in 1989, Hydraquip is continuing to explore new opportunities, with a new hose and hydraulics branch set to open shortly in North Wales.

The right people

As part of the company’s expansion plans, Hydraquip is actively recruiting experienced hydraulic hose engineers to increase the number of onsite mobile hose workshops on the roads. Managing director, Duncan MacBain, said: “We are interested in talking to people who wish to be part of a growing team. If you have industry knowledge or are ambitious with a drive to excel, then I would like to hear from you. I am continuously looking at driving the business forward by strategically opening new branches with the right people.”

Engineers based within the North West are invited to email their CV in complete confidence to Fintan Ennis at: fintan@hydraquip.co.uk
